Arrow Eroding snail shell

I have noticed my mystery snail's shell is having issues of sorts. It seems to be eroding away so much so that all the fleshy stuff does not fit into the shell anymore. That being said, I know most sites say its a calcium defficency and to use cuttle bone, zucchini, or calcium suppliments. I tried all of that and his/her shell is not getting any better. It seems to be getting worse. I had it in a tank with live plants and mopani wood. along with 2 adult trapsoor snails. I noticed they would clam up and would saty that way till I changed the water. Then they would come out for a day or so and clam up again. Assuming the wood was leaching something into the water they did not like I took them all out and put them into the snail tub. That solved the claming up problem but their shells have not gotten any better.

Ideas? I have already looked at applesnail.net for info

I know apples like a Ph of about 7.6, and harder water. What kind of calcium supplements do you use? Liquid supplements or calcium pills?

You might need to try straight calcium. O have calcium carbonate pills I use. Some people use the liquid, Kent's I believe.

Problem with Tums is they only go for fruit flavors, not the mints.
