I will definitely try that!! But on actually taking good pictures, I can only get decent ones when I use the flash. I have a manual setting on my point and shoot camera, but they all turn out dark or blurry. So I have to use a setting used to take up close portrait shots and use the flash. I get good ones, but they're not the clearest and you can tell the flash was on. I do turn out the room lights though, and that does help!
That is just brilliant.. normally I just taunt mine with the fish food container :)
And on the macro lens.. I have an old MANUAL focus lens that I use.. it's a complete PITA but I still love it.. I am also too cheap to buy a new one just to take pictures of fish (I bought my lens to take pictures of beads - they don't move much, so MF was not really a problem for that).

OH MY GOSH this too funny. I just about died laughing when I saw him staring at the drawing :P Anytime I have to take a picture of mine, I stick something new in their tank, whether its the end of pen, a spoon, something foreign to them and they usually give it a good flaring stare down so I can snap some shots.
@sarahspins I have 2 lenses for my dlsr and both have an autofocus option, but I never use it, so I don't think your missing much. I tend to be faster at finding the right focal length than my camera and the things I take pictures of are rarely still long enough to wait for the auto focus.
@ZackyBear :o I didn't think this would be bookmark worthy, but thanks :)
and @ scurrie11 that's so cute! When I did it, I didn't think it would work if I had used just black, but I guess it does :D
Oh and I loooove your white betta.
Bleu was acting like an insane MONSTER when I was drawing it, then when I was done, he went into a trance and FREAKED out. It was adorable.
I HATE using the autofocus on my DSLR, it NEVER focuses right. HENCE my blurry nasty pics above. I always use manual but I have such bad eyesight I can't see if they're blurry or not :P
Also, thank you! He's a diva, hes just so fabulous. I WISH pictures did justice to his iridescence. Its breathtaking. Your buddy is quite the stunner as well :D
AND, I didn't think just black would work either, but I had no other option. They got really confused when I wiped it off with my sleeve. Simon turned around and then came back, then turned around and then came back and finally gave up and swam and flared at the filter...
Haha, that sounds soo cute. Mine didn't even notice that I erased it, he just swam away and didn't think twice.
Also, the iridescence is always hard to photograph, you just need to catch him in the right light. One of my CTs has blue iridescence and I can rarely snap a picture where you can actually see it.
