Is it safe to use gravel that turned the water blue and left blue sand behind?

After cleaned- didn't turn water blue after many washes.


After settling for a few weeks (i'm a very patient person I guess XD)


The water was blue for a long while~

I actually got this from someone who was a fish enthusiast and they sold it to me ^^' They love salt water fish and told me they needed to sell their fresh water supplies. I don't know if this gravel was salt/fresh in particular but i'm willing to part with almost all of it and there is tons of it! o_o lets hope for some answer...

Edit: I also have black gravel, brown natural looking gravel and white gravel for sale! I don't need these XD They were all completely washed, cleaned and had no debris or coloration to the water once cleaned. So i'm asking these questions about this blue gravel :o

Hm...It looks safe for tanks. I wonder if you could use food coloring to make it.

I won't personally use anything that leeches color. You don't know what else it's leeching. Without a label from a store saying "INERT" I would be skeptical.

Alright- yeah I thought it was weird that it was leeching a color and my other gravels did not! :O *bows* thank you for the advice ^_^
