My betta on a road trip

Oh yes, he definitely did! The water wasn't filled to the top and you can see that I left the spout on the water bottle open.

That is such an awesome pic! And what a great idea for travel!!! It's dark so less stress, and the straw for air is too cool!! I'll have to keep this in mind if I ever find Betta's on road trips. lol

Thanks! I covered most of the bottle with the sock, but he stayed at the top where the sock didn't cover; he wanted to be able to see everything!

How big was your tank? I have to take my 3 frogs and betta fish to college with me in a few years :(

I brought his 5 gallon tank (that's the size limit that my dorm allows). I left some water in it though, as well as the filter cartridge, so that the beneficial bacteria would stay in it and I wouldn't have to worry about starting a new cycle.
The method I used to transport Junior worked very well and for the most part was stress-free (he is a fish that really doesn't get stressed. But the sock over the bottle creates a dark environment which reduces fish's stress).

Oh, awesome! You should be able to transport them the same as the fish! Just give them each their own cup/bottle!
