I need just a little place to vent. Sorry if this offends anyone.
I'm kind of tired of people and their snippy attitudes toward others. I've seen it a lot lately, and it's somewhat getting out of hand. I know I haven't been a "star" member, but attacking a member over a rookie mistake, really isn't nice. Most of us made not so good decisions when we were new to betta fish. And, I know it isn't my place since I'm not a moderator to point this out to anyone but it's in my nature. Sorry.
Secondly, I'm getting a little sick of people jumping to the WORST possible conclusion in one single bound. I'm not kidding you, I had a brand new fish (couple days being in his new home) and was asking if there was anything that could be possibly wrong wit him and someone told me (I'm not naming names) he had TB. No other symptoms other than being lethargic and shy, no previous illness, nothing to lead to that sensible hypothesis. Or telling me "my fish had that and it died". No one really wants to hear that, unless it's a really severe. My other fish just suffered from some unknown issue and I was told by someone that their fish died. I know sometimes fish have similar symptoms and may or may not pull through but for you to almost immediately post saying that your fish died over this is disheartening. Thanks to Sakura, I put him in Epsom salts and after 2 days he's back to normal.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but lately my experience on here just isn't that great. I used to enjoy getting on here to learn, and get constructive feedback. But now I'm scared to post and either be criticized for my lack of knowledge, or that my fish is deathly ill or have no one reply at all. It saddens me. And again, I apologize for my little rant. I just felt others (especially those who run this site) should know how some of the members feel.
Thanks for reading.
