Whats the difference?

What is the difference between a power head and a filter? I wanted to know because I'm not sure what one to use in my breeding tank. let me know and thanks for reading this thread.

The "power head" is the pump part of the filter. The other part is the filter media chamber or canister. Simple filters combine the two as a "power filter."

A sponge filter is the kind that uses an air pump to make bubbles that drive the circulation. Many breeders prefer this type for their breeding tank as it is very gentle.
