When it comes to live plants they can't get caught. Mo has some pretty heavily planted tanks and all his fishies do just fine. Just make sure you give it a week in de-chlorinated water by its self before adding it to the tank. Everything alive (plants, snails etc) should be quarantined for at least a week. You can qt plants in a cup though, you don't need another tank.

sometimes thats all it takes though. Most end up just getting minor things but sometimes it gets bad

I REALLY wish people cared more about pets.. *sigh* They are missing out on some of the best experiences in life. So they lose. So do their pets..

I don't mean they meant to hurt their fish, it just reminded me of how people are to cats, dogs, hamsters etc, with even knowing better. Or not caring to learn about their pets.

On a separate note, I was thinking of naming my lil dude Creeper Cutie, aka CC. But, he doesn't watch me as much now. Normally I have a make for my pets before I leave the store. But, I just don't know for him... Maybe when he is in a bigger home and not acting confused and like he wants more out of his habitat. He isn't flaring though, well did once, so I guess not super stressed.

I love my pets and they show it by loving me right back. From the fish to the bird they all show their appreciation in their own way.
flaring is normal, most people actually have their boys flare once a day for exercise ( others once a week). I love to see my boys act all tough lol.

lol. Yeah I thought it looked pretty neat. The guy I picked is the smallest I have ever seen so his flaring isn't like other Bettas. But it kind of makes him even more cute lol.

That is really aweoms you have all those pets! And I guess I have yet to find out how fish show their love. Never had one before, only mammals.

lol That is so great! I would love to have a general community some day! I want to have one of frogs too :) Fire bellied frogs to be exact.

My guy comes up to the glass when I put my face up close or hand :)

Here is a poster I put up of the ocean around his bowl. Do you think it is too dark, and/or a tease? Or that he enjoys looking around at it? He was checking it out, now watching me again.
