Still a little small I am okay with it I just do not like colored gravel or gravel on general and plastic plants are boring.

If its for a quarantine it looks fine. Also don't worry about other peoples opinion that much because this is your fish and if you think that this is the best for him then he is probably gonna do fine :). Also why qt? new fish, acting funny?

He has severe tail biting issues and I am healing it. The one gallon is easier to empty than the 2.5 gallon.
