Adorable resting spot...

I have spent days trying to figure out where Gawain rests, because I have only ever seen him active, even when I check on him in the middle of the night, and though he loves his mug/cave he doesn't seem to spend prolonged amounts of time in there. However, this evening I guess he finally got tuckered out enough to rest in front of me, and I found out that his preferred resting spot is...



...precariously balanced on top of his tiny thermometer.

Am I the only one who thinks this is the cutest thing ever?!

That is so sweet :) I have a couple boys that love that spot in their tanks for a resting spot. Maybe you should make him a little hammock :)

Kaze does this, too! It's very, very cute. I wonder what it is about the thermometer that our bettas like... maybe they like it because it's near the surface? Though Kaze has plenty of plants near the surface to snuggle up in. Hmm.

That is so sweet !!! Perseus really loves suction cups too, he used to sleep on his too before I put floating live plants in his tank, now he sleeps in those.

No Nen used to rest on his heater...then I moved tanks and he can no longer do that :( now he just rest in the sand on the bottom lol... a lot less exciting for him im sure...perhaps I should lower my therm too, he might like that!? ..I never see Miyagi rest, hes the plakat, always on the go! Lo Ling the rescue rest under his heater and in his floating plants at night and Pho Phan likes to hover in the corners near the surface with an occasional rest on a plant leaf. I love different betta's are...thats the pure joy of them.
