Heaters

Hey guys! I have a question about heaters, I have never used a heater before because it is pretty warm here in GA but I thought for my Betta's well-being that it would be the best to get a heater. But, I don't have the money to invest in three heaters. I know it sounds weird but I was wondering if any of you guys knew how to DIY or knew of a substitute?

Thank you all for your help in advance!

I bought mine on Amazon, got free shipping and they were a very good price. They are Aquatop, I think... They are adjustable, which is why I picked them.

The smallest heater I've seen is for 5-10 gallon tanks. The Walmart online store has it. I think it is$4 or $5. Does anyone know where to buy half gallon heaters?

No problem, Twilight :)

Perry, I think Petco sells a "betta bowl heater", that is a disk shape, and for smaller containers. I like the idea of them, but they aren't adjustable :/

Petco and Petsmart both have the smaller sized heaters. There's also a few online stores like aquariumguys.com that sell them.

Thank you guys so much! This is really helpful! @perry the platypus, my Betta is currently living in a 2.5 gallon....=) Also, do any of you guys have any heater you recommend? Because it scares me when I buy a heater and I don't know if it will be reliable or if it will cook my fish alive!

I recommend the Hydor THEO heater. I have it, it's adjustable, heats well, that's about it. Go on eBay to buy if you want to.
