Lethargic

in my 20 gallon i switched from 24 to 12 hour lighting The fish are paler and lazier when I check on them in the middle of the night and at day they are okay. .I have a filter heater florescent light bulb I recently did a 50 percent water change added an oto and endler hybrid I have guppies 3 cories female Betta 2 otos emperor tetra 2 assassin snails PH 7.6.

I'd be paler and lazier too if you turned on the light to check on me in the middle of the night. :D

What do you mean I turn it on their pale I leave it to check on them and they recover only when their is light and I think it is low CO2 because the air breathers are least affected.

They get pale when sleeping..Once they wake up the color returns, that's why after a while they are back to normal.
