Floaty betta

After looking through my LFS not Petco or Petsmart, my LFS I noticed that many of the bettas are in horrible condition. Worst than Petco and Petsmart and so I bought one. Turns out, the beautiful OJ male betta can't swim down and is all floaty.

So, thinking to myself it could be a swim bladder problem and so I am now in fasting and epsom bathing my new betta.

As of now, he is floating and can't swim down, was wondering if this could be swim bladder?

He has a lump on his body near his tail, literally right before his tail.

I cannot see the lump/bump. Looks a bit curved if anything. A better pic would help. Just do the epsom bath for a few days and see if he improves. Try getting him to eat tomorrow. A 2 days fast is enough. You want to make sure he's actually eating though.

Been giving him Epsom and one pea, nothing happened yet. Tomorrow I will get him back on his pellet food and see how well he is doing. As of now, a picture is unlikely haha. But will get one later tonight. Seems like he is tooo stressed from trying to swim down.

Aw well leave him i shallow water or give him somehing to rest on. Perhaps something to hide in or behind. I bet he would like some privacy. He's a fabulous color by the way!! Hope he perks up!

I hope so too, never had an orange betta before and he looks beautiful

These pictures aren't working either. The pea will do more harm than good if the Betta eats a bit more than this: o
They are insectivores not vegans. Their digestive tract is for protein and meat, they can't really help with the roughness of veggies or fruit.
