Thumbs down Bloating :~

Hi!
I have a new sorority type thing in a 55 gallon.
There are 4 girls in the tank and 2 with fungal infections in separate hospital tanks.
I noticed that the smallest girl in the 55 gallon was VERY bloated.
I think it is because she eats too much and can't go to the bathroom afterwards.
Any tips on how to help her?
I've heard that peas help.. but why? Its so random.
Anyways if you have any advice please tell me.

Also I am having a food problem. Whenever I feed the 55 gallon flakes.. which is most of the time, the females end up hogging it all! Do you have any tips on how to distribute the food equally so that the females don't explode?!

Pea treatment isn't good for bettas since they are carnivores.

An ES bath (esposm salt) for your bloated girls will help with the constipation and lower bloating.

As for the flakes, try luring your females to another side of the tank to feed the rest of your community, otherwise you may have to skip meals throughout the week to keep your bettas from over-eating :3

I have to feed my sorority one pellet at a time and count how many pellets each fish has eaten. And I have to feed them bloodworms one at a time on a q-tip. Otherwise one girl will stuff herself sick on all the food. So you may need to take precautionary measures like that.
