Less than 1 gallon quarantine tank

I found a betta at the LPS that I just couldn't leave. I was planning to get a small tank at walmart, but they were out. I hope to get one in the next day or so. All I had left for a quarantine/temporary tank is a vase that is a little over 3/4 of a gallon. How often would I change the water. I know that for 1 gallon and up, it's 1 50% and 1 100%, but what about below 1 gallon?

I have one about 1.5 and do 100% every 2 days because it's easier to do 100% than 50% changes.

Well this vase takes about 80-85% of a gallon jug. I hate to do 100% everyday, because it puts stress on the fish, but I don't know how long he can stay in that water safely.

Is it 3/4 of a gallon with no decorations/gravel? If it's less with gravel/hiding places then you will need to do 100% every day or every other day. Especially if he's in QT. You don't want him expelling from his body only for it to go back in the next few hours because it wasn't cleaned out.

Is he ill? If not, he'll be fine for the next 2 days.

I'm curious about this, too. I'm starting a sorority and I have no room for any more tanks, I need to QT them in their cups.
Anymore ideas on how to make this even more comfortable?

Yes, it is 3/4 of a gallon with no decorations or gravel... just a craft mesh tube that floats for him to sleep in. He is not ill that I know of. I'm just waiting on a tank and the vase is the only thing I had.

Dropping a bit of plant in with them helps a lot I think.
