Wow he's beautiful congrats on your new boy.

Also it sounds like you are doing a fantastic job in caring for him. One thing for the future, the best betta food out there is New Life Spectrum and Omega One. However frozen food is just as good for betta's. Frozen bloodworms make a great meal and brine shrimp are a wonderful treat.

Thank you ^^

Alright, it looks like his missing scales are from him rooting around under rocks for stuff, getting stuck, then flailing for awhile because... he is not very smart? Have removed pokey pumpkin cave, need to find a safer one, but current set up is:

Is it normal for betta to be somewhat hyper? He has bouts of peacefulness, but lots of 'charge at walls of tank and swim manically' periods. Turning off the aquarium lights helped a bit, he could still use some Ritalin. My friend keeps hers in a large fishbowl and he apparently sits quietly. ?_?

Tetras never gave me this much trouble. XD

When you got him did you acclimate him to the tank or did you just open the bag and let him in there?

Pretty tank, what's the name of it?

He came in a little tupperware style tub that I floated in his tank for ~30 min or so while pouring some water in/out to mix.

It is a Glo-Fish 2.5 gallon Corner Aquarium kit, apparently designed for zebrafish modified with jellyfish genes that code for the 'glo'. XD Possibly explains why the lights are white and blue.

Night Elves are second only to Blood Elves as the best race. :P
