Betta sucked into the filter

Jonah got sucked into the filter today. I'm out of town, so my mom was able to get him out and into a hospital tank. She has no idea how long he was there, she was out all morning. I just want to know if I told her the right things to do.

He's currently in a 1 gallon hospital tank. It should be heated to 80 +/- 1-2 degrees. I had Mom add 2 ml of API Stress Coat and 2 teaspoons of AQS. He was slowly acclimated over about 2 hours (long time, I know. But, it's my mother here. And I'd rather him be added slowly over a long period of time then just dumped in). I personally do not know the extent of the damage, she sent me a picture but he's very clamped so I can't see :/ Very pale and scared looking. Mom said he is swimming, somewhat but not a lot. I'm assuming he's just very shook up and scared.

Did I tell her the right things to do? I will be home tomorrow around 7:30pm and can make any other big changes.

2 teaspoons is a little too much one is better.

I have heard people putting their bettas in up to 3 tsp of salt. I thought 2 would be better considering a good chunk of his caudal fin is gone.

2tsp per gallon of water, premixed.

I think the max is 3 tsp. 2 tsp/gal premixed sounds good. I'm doing that much for my little guy but he has external parasites. Sounds like you covered everything. I hope he gets better soon.

Yes, always premixed. I premix all water anyway.

Mom says he looks good sometimes and other times not so hot. I don't have any IAL or oak leaves so I don't know what else to do for him other than just pray and wait...

Sounds like you got it as best you can right now...let him rest..and keep us updated. I hope the best for the little guy!

Just received another picture...It doesn't look good at all...

His scales are very damaged at the end of his body, open and exposed injuries. My beautiful baby is awful and it's all my fault...

Extra water changes will help right now he is at huge risk for fin rot hope he recovers.
