Can a double tail ever be half moon?

I have a very nice white DTPK named Casper who I aways think of as HM, too....but just got to thinking....Can a DT ever be considered a HM or does the dip in the DT automatically disqualify. You'll notice I have DTHMPK in my signature but I'm thinking that's just stupid.

I have a dthm named Aquarius. So yes it's very possible. In fact next to HM they are my fav tail type.

I actually had a DTHMPK, awesome fish and he was a true HM. So yes they can be an actual DTHM, really balanced fish as well.

Thanks for the quick response. Yeah, he sure has the spread. He drives me a little nuts though when he gets fed. So busy flaring at me through the tank side I can barely get him to notice the food....and rarely if he does see it will he grab it until it starts dropping to the bottom and he can chase it. Of course, that means he doesn't always catch it so I'm gonna get a turkey baster to pluck out the pieces he doesn't catch...or else get a snail who should eat very well thanks to his success rate (or failure) LOL
I've had him about one month now and at first he wouldn't eat at all...just flare. After about a week I stumbled onto the sinking pellet trick although he still flares and tries to get me through the tank more than he eats! Next purchase will be sinking pellets so I can stop poking at the floating ones until he notices them and/or they sink. Sigh.....My other boys are typical betta little piggies.

Shiny was labelled as Double Tail Halfmoon in the store. I've never seen him flare his fins, though, so I can't actually be a witness to whether he's HM or not.
