I don't want to make you disappointed but... Nesting doesn't mean they're happy. It's just instinct, ready to breed, and protecting territory. However, I presume when Bettas are active and eating well, they're happy. :D

Honestly I thought about putting Tian in the tank with him to see if they would breed but after doing a good bit of reading about breeeding betta, I think thats out of my league right now. I wouldnt want to risk the fish injuring each other, and besides, I dont have the room for babies .
