How much to feed a HUNGRY betta

So after my betta had been in a swim bladder problem and fasted him for 3 days, he has been super hungry ever since he got better.

He was diagnosed 2 weeks ago, and got better on Sunday of this past week.

I fasted him for 3 days, fed him a pea and then fed him normally. However, I fasted him again for another 1 day and then he got better super fast.

It has been a few days since I fasted him and every time I go about feeding him, he knows and swims to the top of the tank. I feed him twice a day and about 3 small pellets each time, 6 total a day. Every time, he eats like a mad man and wants more; but, I have to limit him.

What should I do? Keep him at the regular 6 a day, 3 twice a day?
I DEF don't want to overfeed him like the store did.

Bettas are pigs and will eat when they get the chance... In the wild, they eat whatever they can find as they won't know when their next meal is.. And as pets, you'll HAVE to limit their feeding or else they'll pop to death.
If your pellets are REALLY small, then 3 pellets twice a day is fine, but I suggest 2 pellets 2 times a day instead.. Remember to give him a variety in foods and don't feed him peas a lot. They're known to hurt their digestive tracts with their roughness.

3-4 a day is fine for pellets the size of aqueon and omega one buffet.

For the smaller pellets I feed mine 3 a day, if the pellets were bigger I would do 2. I read somewhere that their tummies are the size of their eyeballs...which is not that big at all. The pellets also expand in water so you have to take that into account too. If he is prone to bloating, maybe try to feed him daphnia about once a week? They're mini crustaceans that act as a natural laxative so it could prevent bloating.

The pellets do not swell in their tummies the OldFishLady says the acids in the stomach keep that from happening. I feed mine Betta Pro and NLS 3 or 4 in the mornings and the same at night.

I feed mine about 4 pellets a day. Even if he's been fasted several days, don't feed him extra. I've found that when a fish has just recovered from SBD, it doesn't take much for them to get bloated again.
