Wardley shrimp pellets

Bought these thinking they'd be perfect for my one guy that prefers to catch his food as it sinks to the bottom. Big mistake. It's like an ant trying to eat an elephant. Can't break them down and they go to mush if you try to soften with water. All my guys liked the taste but most of it ended up on the bottom of the tanks. I've seen Omega One shrimp pellets recommended. Are these small enough for a betta or can I break them into smaller pieces?

Shrimps are mainly herbivores, low protein.

Bettas are carnivorous, need lots of protein.

Omega is a great brand -- they have sinking fish pellets. Perhaps you could go for a sinking pellet that is mainly fish protein.

Spur of the moment

I live where I have to buy everything on line. Just happened to be in a Walmart and thought Wardleys was worth a try. I'm going to have to order by mail and saw other people suggested New Life Spectrum Small Fish and Omega shrimp pellets. These are small enough out of the box for betta, yes? Don't have much $ so can't afford to keep screwing up.
