well, actually - i did do that in my water change, and it did stop him. Then i moved him to my larger community tank. since he likes company, figured he would like to be with guppies and tetras! seems to so far.

Awesome, just keep an eye on the guppies! After a while mine got to where they began nipping on my betta's tail and I had to rearrange everyone.

NO, no blue eyes, but he is very active in the community tank. soon as he is totally settled i will post pics. He is actually friendlier now - comes up to the front and follows me. in the other tank he just didnt seem to care. (except feeding time)

finally got a good pic in his new tank, and Yes, he does indeed have blue eyes. i just couldnt tell until i got him under a good light!! he is very active now, so it's hard to get a good shot, but this one is nice.
