so could some one tell me about their experiance with female betta/ young betta with stress stripes?

I have always kept males, and I am not new to tropical fish keeping but i feel like i am doing something wrong with my female ct Shela.

I posted pics of her in the picture forum.

I have her in a planted 2.5 gal heated filtered tank, she has been in the tank for at least 2 weeks, and she eats well, no obvious aliments.

Stripes don't always mean stress-Color changes and stripes are used for camo and communication.

there is so much more to learn about bettas than I thought. just goes to show that many tropical fish species have different needs and aspects.
