New Tank Mates for Zen

4 Ghost Shrimp

and a black mystery snail.


I plan on getting a zebra snail for the tank. :)

He's an aggressive betta, but he just seems to ignore them.

Awesome :) Snails are messy but shrimp are clean- not sure if shrimp eat snail poop?
Black gravel is good for ghosties because they're impossible to see!!

They don't eat poop.. They eat algae and you have to substitute their diet with algae wafers or zucchini or cucumber...I didn't know this either lol I got my 2 nerites thinking they just ate algae xD
Mystery snails need algae wafers though or some sort of veggie.

No, Bettas can't eat that. Nothing in the world really eats poo, except some dung flies or something. Lol

Bettas shouldn't eat too many veggies (peas are okay in small amounts) because they're carnivorous.. Well I guess they're carnivorous-preferred omnivores.
