I have discussed elsewhere here that i am cycling a tank, and moving soon. I think i will hold off on getting a fish until the move, even if that means continuing to supplement ammonia until then. In the meantime, gonna think about which betta i want.
In the past i have only had crown tails. but recently have been really enamored by plakats and half moon plakats.
Will my current set up be okay for getting a pk or hmpk?
I have a heated 10 gallon tank, with gravel at the bottom, a little hut for fish to hide in, and a few silk plants, the plants are in front of my aqueon quietflow 10 filter, the filter has a sponge baffle on the output and a pre-filter sponge. as well as a decent amount of sponge on the inside. I know that each fish is differnt in how much they enjoy a current, but from looking at the tank there is only strong current directly below the output and mild surfae agitation. the end of the tank with the hut there is no visible current (a little silk plant is there and doesnt move at all). So, hgaving all the baffles that really slow the flow and silk plants in front of the filter, do you think that current could be too strong for a pk or hmpk? if so what should i do to change this? Any suggestions of a betta that would have less issue with this?
Just trying to plan for the future. thanks all.
