^ good advice, but forget the melafix. it's not great for anabantoid fsh like bettas. If you must use it, use a half dose.

For advanced fin/body rot I would not mess about with herbal remedies (the -fix meds are herbal antiseptics) or salt, I'd go right to proper gram neg antibiotics which will very likely fix the cause of the bloat as well.

Operation Get Marvin Better underway....

.. bought the 2.5 gallon. Put 50/50 water. Heater installed. No filter yet b/c I'm only doing a gallon of water .. due to the fact that he can barely swim up to eat... I wasn't exactly sure on how much epsom salt to put... sp for a gallon i put half a teaspoon...

I am going to do a 50/50 water change again on Friday..

... Any feedback would b greatly appreciated... N detailed if possible.. I'm way too new at this n I don wanna mess him up.

Neone... Plz help..

... Trying out the hagen marina heater. 10w for my 2.5 tank.. ... I forgot to let it 'acclimate' ... So I unplugged it and let it sit for 10 mins... Could I have messed It up? .. also.. I have It sideways as opposed to upright.. is this ok?.. I can't find anything on that.. I wanna try n get It right so his water can start warming up!

it's fine, leave it like 20 min, it will turn on when it has to, as for a filter as long as it doesn't take too much space or create too much current, you're good, as for the salt dosage, I used AQ salt for my fish's injuries and use about 1/2 tsp. Hope this helps!
