I heard them chew!!!

I always thought that you really couldn't hear them chew.... My filters are loud, so I figured that I would not be able to hear. Well tonight when I was feeding my boys, one was really close to the glass and I HEARD him! It was the sweetest little sound!!! I listened to the others, and heard a few of them!

Haha, mine does that too, all the time.

If its a really big pellet I can sometimes hear him from across the room. At first it worried me because he wasn't eating at all, and I thought there was something wrong with his mouth or something; but since he can eat without any problems now, I just pass it off as a quirk.

Gosh, he is a noisy fish though.

Yeah, my bettas chew really loud. hehe. One of them makes a sort of clicking sound when he breathes in air from the surface.

I turn my filter off to feed my fish as it tends to cause a lot of surface movement and I figure they rather not have to chase their pellets about... They make the loudest smacking noises when they eat.

My betta chews loudly when he eats big pellets. Its the cutest thing ever!
