Exclamation Aquarium salt?

Some say it's good to prevent fungus and rot ( to treat external injuries) and can be used in very very small quantities and long term.

Some say long term using it is bad.

I use like 1/4 teaspoon when I do 100% water changes once a week, in my 2 gallon tank, unfiltered with heater.

I want to know if it is really bad or good, I don't know what to believe anymore I used this as my source, but I wan't to hear your opinions:

Using it long term will damage the labyrinth organ and cause organ damage. That site's info is not updated so it might be a little... Wrong. It's really bad for your Betta's health so don't use the salt more than 10 days. Do a 100% change right now and just have conditioner in the water, nothing else.

thanks :D, next water change I'll not use AQ salt, right now my betta has some injuries so I wasn't sure when to stop using it.

I do have some other questions:

Should I stop using it despite he has wounds on his scales and fins? (meaning just limit myself when he has some fin rot and stuff)

When does one keep using AQ salt (just fin rot?)?

When can I start the dosage again?

Does AQ salt ever expire?

How long has it been in the water? I know you've been doing full water changes, but I mean how long your Betta has been in AQ Salted water.

It's ok to it for his injuries but make sure not to pass the 10 day mark. AQ Salt is good for external injuries such as fungal infections and fin rot.

After 2 weeks of no salt added you can put some in for treatment only. I'm not sure if it'll expire, check the box. (:

Ok, as long as you don't add salt anymore then you should be fine! Remember, it's only for treatment. :) And you're welcome.
