BiOrbs

Does anyone have any experience with BiOrb tanks? I've had mine for over three years now and I love it - in fact it's been the easiest tank I've ever had. I've noticed that PetSmart has dropped them and I'm wondering why. I'm looking into buying another one and want to make sure there aren't any horror stories I should be avoiding with my fish.
Thanks!!

Petsmart still has them online but I think they may have stopped carrying them in store because they don't seem to sell. When I bought my Biorb Life 30 they were practically givin them away, I got mine for $90. I absolutely love the look of it but I hate the filtration system. It had been a very long time since I had an aquarium with an air pump and I forgot how much I hated that noise. I used it as a temporary home for one of my fish but it now sits empty. Not sure what to put in it.
What model do you have?

I think they are very pretty and when I started acquiring more aquariums, I wanted one badly. However, I couldn't justify spending so much on a BiOrb when I could buy a perfectly nice tank for so much less.

Do you have pictures of yours? I love to see the different ways people scape them.

I would buy one if I had the money (or the space) I'm pushing it a bit right now with current small tanks

Huh. The filtration system is one of the things I love about it. My fish have lasted so much longer in it then I've ever had before, and its so pretty. I really wanted something that didn't look cheesy and wasn't too big. I don't have a lot of space. It's funny how something can totally irritate one person and not bother the other! :) I'll post a pic on my album for you. Thanks for the feedback!

Well to be fair, I had a goldfish in there while I was setting up his tank so it's not the biorbs fault. I'm sure with the appropriate fish the filter would be just fine. I do love the look of the tank. I got it in white because my Fluval Edge is white and they look great together. I look forward to setting it back up once I figure out what I want in it.

Here's my Biorb Life 30. It was a temporary home so it doesn't look great.

Cool, I like it even if it is temporary. I just got some new plants today. You can see them in my tank in my albums if you like. Still haven't figured out hoe to add pics to a thread! :)
