My betta Sulu

This is Sulu. Can anyone tell me what type of tail he has? I am terrible at IDing. Also, I'm worried that he may not be eating enough, does he look rounded out from these photos or he is he on the thin side? Anyway, the photos are not the best, but these are from him in his 10 gallon tank. He's quite happy in there. The redness on his tail is from some tail chomping that he did a while ago. He's not the most stunning betta, but I think he has plenty of personality and is a very active swimmer. His blue goes well with the plants in the tank, I think. The pictures are not the best because he is quite active and does not like to stay still for a photo op.

But he has really grown since I got him. When I purchased him he was in a cup labeled female veiltail but his tail has really come out since then and his colour has enhanced. I like to think he's rather happy in his new home. Anyway, onto the photos:

What a pretty boy! He's a delta tail, but I'm not sure what color he is. He looks well fed. There should be a soft rounding of his belly when he's full. I generally feed one pellet at a time until it gets there. Some days it's four pellets, some days it's ten. (After the ten pellet days I generally fast that fish.) I feed Omega One Betta Buffet and haven't had any issues with weight.

Thanks! I worry about his weight sometimes because I know that sometimes people feed as much as 10, while I usually stick with the 4. He does gobble up some of the tetra food too, so I try not to feed him too much. To be honest, I don't know his colour either, he's a dark blue with some indigo scales and red fins. He's a little more purpley in real life but I can't put my finger on exactly what colour he is.

he looks like a traditional dark-iridescent. from a distance he looks black, but up close he can look anywhere from green to blue to purple depending on the light.
