I had to share this.

My tank is right by my bed, so I can always see Bettasaurus out of the corner of my eye. He's in a 10 gallon tank with a pretty strong current that he LOVES. Anyway-I see this flash of red out of the corner of my eye & I look over and he's in the front corner of the tank where the current is semi strong. He's swimming down into the current & then flipping around really fast and letting the current streak him up to the water line. He's been doing this for probably about 5 minutes. Every now & then he'll go over to the heater or somewhere the current isn't as strong & rest, but then he's right back at it. He cracks me up.

I think he just retreated to his "bed" for the night.

It was soooo funny!!! He was swimming AND riding the current. I wish I'd gotten a video of it.

So funny! :) Today he was over in the same spot, but he was swirling around in the current. :)

Mine likes to play in the stream too. He purposely swims over the wand that releases the current in order to be pushed back by the moving water. Sometimes he swims straight up into it just to swim against it or be blown around. He does not appear to be stressed or harmed by this, so I can only assume it is out of whatever is equivalent to fish enjoyment.
