Thanks for all your help guys! I'm going to stick with the conservative method for now and hope he gets better. It's only been a week but I already love the little guy.

So now he is not eating, and has like cottony white on his body closest to his fins, does that mean it's a different disease? It seems to not be getting better with the salt, should I move on to using medicine?

so sorry keep doing 3tsp/gall of the aquarium salt and daily water changes and wait until Sakura will give you advice on medications. She is the best about it. I think it really not a good sign that he stopped eating.

Hi BettaMum. It sounds like it's time to move onto medication. API Triple Sulfa from Petsmart is the choice here but DO NOT use if you have allergies to sulfa medications. If you do, choose API Furan-2.

Thanks everybody, at least he's not suffering anymore, the last couple of hours were really bad, and I'm glad that I was able to provide him with a bigger home to spend his last days in than him spending it in those terrible little cups.
