Angry Bad information!!!!

I was just surfing the Internet and I came across a page that was called "good news for pets."it was saying how goldfish don't like living in bowls. I was like ok.....then I read the last paragraph......

"bettas are hardier than goldfish,And bowls are way more suitable for a life in a bowl. When the water begins to get foul and oxygen deficient , that's about the time a goldfish begins to fail,And eventually goes belly up. A betta doesn't need much care; it just reaches above the surface and takes in a breath of fresh air. Bettas have a Lung like organ called a labyrinth. That is exactly like its worded (ok almost) this makes me mad! :BIG sad:

I will never understand why people think "hardy and easy to care for" means "leave for dead and then blame the fish for dying after only 3 months". Yes, Bettas don't need to be walked everyday like dogs or a litter box cleaned daily like cats. But you can't leave them to rot in disgusting water. Even if a betta can pull oxygen from the air it is still vulnerable to ammonia poisoning, fin rot, body rot, every other disease I don't feel like listing, and stress.

I hate when people think that pulling oxygen from the air means their water quality can go to pot. Bettas need to do more than eat and breath.
