Question Guys, there are walking specks on the glass inside my tank...

I put a new light over my 5 gallon tank. It's and LED light and it's much brighter and whiter. And I noticed these tiny white specks on the inside of the glass... and they walk around. I mean, they're way too tiny to see legs, but they definitely aren't specks of plant stuff floating aimlessly. They're actually on the glass and moving around of their own volition. What are they???

Are they like little worm things? If so, it's likely planaria, a type of flatworm. Harmless, but annoying. I had an outbreak of them last week.

They don't look like worms. They are so small they're barely larger than specks of dust but they move.

lol while the title of your thread did make me *giggle*, I unfortunately don't have any idea. Do you have live plants? I'm quite curious and eager to learn so please do keep us posted :)

Yeah, I have plants. Most recently I got some fanwort and amazon sword. That was about 3 weeks ago, though. The plants also brought in a scud which was super cute but I haven't seen it now in a few days so it must have died. :o(

I have those too, just look like white specs of dust that flitter around in odd patterns.

I have the eensy weensy white dots too. They twitch on the glass and move, after a clean I see them swimming in the water.
Perfectly harmless.
