I will try to take one when it's flaring. May have to stick him in a small bowl just to take the pic lol.

most likely a DeT or SDeT, possibly with some VT genetics in his line, judging by that extremely long anal fin.

I couldn't get him to flare even by placing him inside a smaller bowl and with a mirror. This is the best picture I can get.

He is a very pretty fishy:) is that really pink color in his body, and fins? Very nice, I would say a HM. Not too sure if he's a DeT, gorgeous:) What is his name?

Thanks. Yes, he's got a bit of pinkish on his body. On the 2nd day I had him, I noticed he had a few scales breaking off on the side (the picture shows it). On the 3rd day they came off completely. Not sure how it happened but is it normal? I've put some IAL to help with the healing. He's moving fine though. I've not given him a name. Maybe you can help me suggest something lol.

I did see the scales, hmm, my betta HM is popping a scale or 2 from time to time, but with clean warm water, and some stress coat, works very well, scales and fins heal fairly quickly:) When I first saw his pic, I thought of "Ruby" for his name~
