ya he was in the bag from the store in the tank for 1hr before I introduced him to the tank. He swam right to the bottom corner and took about minute before he started to explore his new home

i heard from a friend that sometimes bettas are not very active and such at first. hopefully he'll come around and muster up an appetite. :) he's beautiful. my first betta's fins were kind of clamped at first. began feeding him pellets (omega one betta pellets) and frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp each once a week. along with his heater, it all helped.
your guy is pretty :)

1-2 weeks!? My betta fish ate within the first 20 minutes of his adoption! He must be different then... :D

He sure is a pretty guy, he should start to eat soon just keep offering him his food and if he doesnt eat it take it out so the water stays clean. I would offer him the food two to three times a day. Best wishes to you and your new guy !

Congratulations on becoming a betta owner! Your boy is gorgeous, I look forward to more pictures.

Don't worry about his refusal to eat, some bettas won't eat for a week and others will eat right away (as others have already pointed out), it really depends on the betta. Give him time, and remember to remove any uneaten food. :D

And again, welcome to the forum!

He finally ate 1 piece of food and has been swimming around his tank all day today. So happy to see some life in him!
