Zoomed Exercise Mirror

Does anybody have and use the zoomed exercise mirror? I just bought one a week ago and do not use it everyday but already the reflective coating is coming off and it so very spotted so my betta can't even see herself anymore! So disappointed as I spent $6 for it! I am going to call Zoomed on Monday as I want my money back and to let them know how poorly made this is!

Anyone else have this problem?

This has happened a few times, but if your tank is really clean, your betta can see itself on the sides of the aquarium. It thinks it is another fish, and flare. This acts the same as a mirror, but free :)

Glad I read your post. I've been putting a mirror up to the side of the tanks for a minute or so to give each boy some exercise but I'd been thinking about getting one of these. Now I know not to bother.

My boy won't flare for a mirror. I held it up for nearly 5 minutes and he really didn't seem to care. I guess he's just really easy going haha

They are supposed to go inside the tank and float there.

Any mirror works fine, they don't need to go in the tank, which is better since more things in the tank means more possiblilties of getting something in the tank you don't want. Mirror on the outside is the way to go.

Also supposedly it has sharp edges which can cut up your bettas fins.

Well she seemed to really like having it in her tank, she would be so funny trying to sneak up on the "other" fish. Having a mirror on the outside doesn't seem like it would be as much fun as this one floated around the tank. I think I will take the reflective part off and see if I can still use the floater as a toy for her if the store won't take it back! I'm not certain I can find the receipt!

Thanks for the replies!
