Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? He has a pale spot on the top of his head where there are now no scales. Now there is also a little white spot, I'm assuming his insides (>.<!) and it doesn't look too good.
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? Not at all
When did you start noticing the symptoms? A few weeks ago I put it in a little cave for him, since he tends to be fairly shy. He LOVES the cave and can't get enough of it, but about two weeks ago I noticed that there was a small "bald patch," on the top of his head. Tonight I noticed the white :/
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? None yet; that is my question
Does your fish have any history of being ill? None serious; just fin biting
How old is your fish (approximately)? I've had him for 14 months now

I know the cause of the cave is probably the cause of his injury: I hose-tested the outside but now I think checking the inside might have been a good idea too, because that might be the problem after all. (Stupid me)

I just am curious as to what the treatment should be. I'll be sure to take out that cave tonight, and then I was wondering what salts or treatments might be good for him.
Thank you all!
-Pucky! <3
ps. I'll add pictures when I get a chance (I have a meeting very soon) but I wanted to at least put this up here so I can put in some treatments tonight. THANKS!

First off you need weekly water changes in tank that small if you do not it could become infected and add a little aquarium salt so do a 50 percent weekly.
