Australians, I need your opinions!

Hi. =)

Since my new place will have an abundance of room for fishy pursuits, and these days I spend a lot of time at home.. I am thinking of maybe setting up a few tanks later in the year for breeding cherry shrimp, MTS, and growing healthy low light plants like java fern, java moss, anubias, crypts.. etc.

The idea is to offer these for sale at much cheaper prices than the average LFS has them, with a guarantee of being disease and (in the case of plants) snail/pest free.

It's not so much about making my fortune (lol) as learning as I go and helping people find useful plants/tankmates/etc. while not losing money on it. If I break even, great!

Anyway, just wanting to know who might be interested in something like that - and do you think it's a good idea? Any pitfalls you can think of? Or maybe there's something else I could provide that I haven't thought of?

Your opinions will be gratefully received. =)

Disease if you can get people like yourself good with fish and people should work the only pitfall is the myths if you tell someone those myths are not true they leave so the customer is always right thing might damage the truth but a lot of problems the selling them cheap you have to care for them longer and keep up with demand java fern and Anubis grow to slow to keep up with demand but think a farm grows enough for a pet store you could grow Anubis emerged they grow faster so demand and price is a problem you would have to put a lot more effort in. so fast growing plants and animals that breed fast Bettas might help a shelf full is one good spawn.

Hey Aus, I also live in Australia, in Sydney to be more specific, I would gladly buy from you, it may be hard for you to sell things at the start, but as time goes by and making yourself well known, I reckon you would have a small stable running business, or it could just stay a hobby, entirely up to you.

Note: would you breed and sell Betta as well? You can also attempt to sell the excess plants and livestock to your LFS if need be.
