Found my 1 gallon!!!! (picture heavy)

So I was looking for my deep blue 1 gallon. and decided to go for a LFS run today and see what I can find.
Boy was I glad I went! turns out theres a street market and theres stuff being sold dirt cheap. And me having a tank in mind walked all the way down to the end and back again... and found.....

TADA!

a $3 7x7 glass cube/ vase.

OMG it could not have been more perfect!

I also grabbed 3 small larva rocks from my LFS for $1.50...

now time to set up this beauty....

Anubias, microsword... more susswassertang to block off access to the nooks and crannies.

Add heater and fish and jump proofing!

ofcourse I ommited the more painstaking photos. such as
rinsing out the ecocomplete 6or 7 times to get rid of all the dust....
washing the glass with water then hydrogen peroxide. LOL
Fishing the plants out from my other tanks...
finding a spot for the heater...
acclimating the fish...

Needless to say...i'm proud of the results.

I have that on my dining table. When my father died someone sent us flowers in it. I always thought it would make a cute haspital tank but then I got the 2 gallon round one. This looks pretty!

that's really awesome, especially considering you put so much work into a temporary tank. that's the kind of devotion to style and detail i would love to emulate.
