Good anime's

I like magical girl themed animes/mangas myself so my list is heavy with them.

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon (only watch the subbed version as the dubbed version is really bad)
Cardcaptor Sakura (again, watch the subbed, as the dubbed is bad)
Inuyasha: A Feudal Fairytale (either subbed or dubbed is good)
Dragonball Z and its prequal series, Dragonball (don't watch the Kai remake version of Z as its terrible and forget about GT, that is just god awful)

I used to really watch Pokemon all the time, but its getting a little, shall we say, old and predictable now a days. They really should have either ended the anime with the Johto arc, or created a whole new pokemon themed anime with different characters and such.

I also recommend, if your into Pokemon, the first two seasons of Digimon. After that it gets confusing and complicated, and such, but the first two seasons were pretty good, if I say so, which I do.

I had a great time watching Gurren Lagann..talk about a show that makes you want to take on the world head first!

Also, on the other end of the spectrum-- Nichijou. CUTEST and funniest show ever. Love it. Worth the watch. Nano is adorable ;^;

Rourani Kenshin AKA samauri X is pretty good. First few episodes are kinda slow though.
Fushigi Yugi was good too. I think its also called they mysterious play in english.

Escaflone, LodosWar, Robotech (yeah I know I love it more that macross), Area88 (that is reaaaaallyyyy Depressing), Requiem for an Assassin (depressing too), One piece, Fairy tail, Highschool of the dead.

I look forward to the ending of Helsing and I also follow sword art online and Muv Luv alternative total eclipse (if you can survive past episodes 4-8 you are going to be rewarded).

I thoroughly enjoy Revolutionary Girl Utena. Particularly the later arcs. I second the suggestions of Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura. ♥ I also recommend Angelic Layer. (But I like almost anything by CLAMP.)

Let's see....animes I would suggest but haven't been named yet are:

D. Gray Man - Just started but seems good so far
Trigun - The movie based on it is good as well
Nadesico - This one is old, may be hard to find ^_^;
Evagelion - This one may mess with your head XD
Tsubasa - But I liked it a bit more as a manga
XXXholic - Don't worry, it isn't porn. The XXX is for paranormal events.
Serial Experiments Lain - Also old and I don't know how easy to find XD

I like anime's with darkness. Like Supernatural the anime and black butler
