Bettas and pest spraying?

I don't know if any of you have had to deal with this.
I just received a memo from the apartment building landlord that all apartments in the building are going to be pest sprayed. There's no pest problem and they're just doing this a preventative measure every few months (They got burned when another one of their properties got bed bugs and now they spray ALL their buildings whether there are pests or not.)

With fish tanks, they usually just tell people to cover the tanks.

My concern, though is how the bettas breathe by gulping air at the surface. Do I have to make some kind of arrangements to get my fish out of the apartment for the spraying?

Do any of you have any experience with this issue?

Putting a large plastic cover over the tank then put the cover over plastic should help.

They will breathe OK. Think about how they spend 3 days in a tiny plastic bag during shipping and they come out fine!

But pesticides could get into the water.

It also depends on what type of spraying they're doing. If they're just doing perimeter spraying then I wouldn't be as concerned. If they're fogging that is a different story.

I believe that they're just perimeter spraying around all the walls. Of course the tanks are right near the walls. The thing is, if I remove the fish, I have nowhere to take them. It's cold outside.
