Fin Rot??

I know this is going to sound like a stupid question but Ghost just picked up fin-rot last night. How do I get rid of it?

Housing 10gal, with one fake plant, amazonsword and a unknown plant.
What size is your tank? See above
What temperature is your tank? about 79 right now, though drops to 76 or 77 in the night.
Does your tank have a filter? Yes, but I turn it off in the night because the waterfall slightly pushes Ghost down.
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? No.
Is your tank heated? Yes
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? None

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? NLS, and freeze dried bloodworms cut up, though I don't feed him these often.
How often do you feed your betta fish? 3 pellets in the morning at 7,3 at night around 7

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? 50 percent, depending on how much time I can put into it, though I performed a FULL water change this morning when I noticed his fins. Otherwise I do around 50 percent.
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? 50% normally, or in this case I did 100.
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? API Water Conditioner and Aquarium Salt.

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia: It was something around 5 if I remember correctly, I use test strips and it was a light green, according to that it meant stress..
Nitrite: Safe
Nitrate: ???
pH: Its a shade between 6.8 and 7.2
Hardness: Soft
Alkalinity: It was a shade between 80 and 40.

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? One his double fins have been ripped slightly, making him look like a comb tail but it isn't that much of a huge change.
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? He usually seems to spend his time infront of the tank or right side, pressing his nose against it. I had to take the wallpaper that was around his tank down because he began flaring yesterday even though I had never seen him do that.
When did you start noticing the symptoms? This morning.
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? Full water change, added Aquarium Salt.
Does your fish have any history of being ill? Not that I know of.
How old is your fish (approximately)? 3-6 months?
