Alright, could we please stop the childish arguing? All I want is to know A) Is it overstocked. Several sources say no. So moving onto the next likely cause. B) Is it likely just because it's a relatively new tank? If I plant it, check the light, and increase water changes, is it likely to kill off the diatoms?

I say no and buy some algae killer and I said be overstocked never said it is.

My Nerite snails eat all of it in my 5 gallon tank. Soon it will clear up by itself over time like it did in my 10 gallon tank.
