My betta fish has been looking sick or is sick for a while and i dont know what it is. he always sits on the bottom only coming up for air. he has a reddish pink mark on his side. he mostly swims in spurts not really moving his fins. He has been like this for 2 months. He lives in a ten gallon tank with a blushing angelfish, Zebra danio, and a neon tetra. Formally there were two other fish which died and they were a rainbow shark and rosy barb. The shark i think died from bacterial gill disease 2 months ago which i tried to treat but it was to late. The barb died from when i changed the water. I started noticing him 2 months ago not really moving and a big white spot on his side. Can someone please tell me the problem? I want to know what to do before its too late.

I would suggest taking him out of the big tank, to a smaller tank, like a Kritter keeper 1.75 gal, and try your hardest to get him to eat, you dont know what he is taking in, could be nothing, or too much, in any case I would start there, to get him in clean warm water with some stress coat, and you can also try some Frozen bloodworms, or brine shrimp, that may help his appetite, he looks like he may have not been eating a sufficient diet.
Also if he has a mark, that could be something else, if he has contracted somthing from the tank, after the shark died, or something in the tank could also be making him sick.
In a hospital tank, you will need to make daily water changes, 100% and maybe a tsp of Aquarium salt would also help if there is some fin damage, or if he has some tissue damage, but try the stress coat and clean wate first..Good luck, and keep us posted.
My angelfish doesnt have a problem with the betta or any of the fish if anything he would be scared of the betta. he was scared of the barb when it used to chase him
