? for those with multiple filtered/heated tanks

I am a bit worried about the load on my electrical system in my house. In one room I have my desktop PC, printer, router, ceiling fan/light, 2 tank filters, 2 tank heaters and 2 tank hood lights. Is this overload?

In another room I have a TV, ceiling fan/light, clock radio, 2 desk lamps, 3 tank heaters, 3 tank filters and 2 tank hood lights. Now there are a few ceiling lights in my third bedroom that won't work.

Has anyone had problems with too many things plugged in at once? Has your electric bill gone up much?

I have 3 tanks, a light, a comp, and speakers plugged in the same room, but I have never had any problems with overloading the circuit. I am pretty sure though, that our electric bill has gone up a bit. I myself am not sure exactly how much, but it probably went up..

Did you try replacing your cieling lights. Check if the bulbs are dead.

our electric bill has gone up steadily from $75 a month with no tanks to about $125 with 12 tanks. so far we haven't had any blown fuses, but other than those tanks with incandescent lights, almost every fish-related appliance we have is specifically designed to consume low amounts of electricity, so even with a LOT plugged into one power strip, the flow is relatively minor.

I'm not certain of electricity bills but I've tried my best to use as few power sockets as possible. One long LED strip light for the plants in both tanks, two filters powered by a single air pump and two heaters. I have other things in my room that need more electricity but I'm beginning to reduce the number of sockets I use through careful and creative planning. I'd love to have NPTs that don't need filters but I'm just not able to do that so the air pump method works well.

can you lost all of your electrical equipments and wattage used?

Well I have my computer, my fan, tv/xbox & the three tanks with lights & filters all in my bedroom.
The tanks & my fan are on a large powerboard with a surge protector, but as for the electricity bills, I havent heard my parents rage at me yet so Im asuming its all good. :D
