Epsom salt is usually reserved for treating internal and digestive conditions.

It is true that you don't need AQ salt. In fact, many experienced keepers don't use any kind of salt. Just warm, clean water and lots of protein.

I agree about the fins, I'm not really sure how long it takes them to grow back. Yappa, you're honestly not using water conditioner? For the sake of your fish, please get water conditioner. Trust me, you need it probably even if the water is purified. I apologize if that sounded rude, but you honestly need water conditioner.
