Scales Bitten Off

One of my sorority girls seem to have had a scale by her right pectoral fin bitten off or something. Is this possible? There seem to be a worm like trail of flesh or scales or something coming from her pec fin...
It's hard to see and looks worrisome... I would like to know if it is possible and what it is?
I can't seem to get a good picture of it, I'll try to post some in the morning.

yes do post pics, it could be nipping from another fish, bumping this so someone else can give their opinion

She seems very active and she's the alpha of the sorority. Here are a few pictures; the wound is very hard to see from the side, but really prominent from the top view.
