Question Good heater for a 3 gal. tank?

Hey everybody!

Casper's heater i bought him, the mini aqueon heater, isnt working, and his tank is at 72 right now. I need one ASAP.

what is a good adjustable/non-adjustable heater?

Thanks!

Ps, also After two weeks, like many of you said, Casper has marbled :) He is almost half black, instead of cellophane. I also will be stocking my 10 gal. with endlers soon!

Thanks again!

Has the heater been plugged in a while? It takes about 24 hours to heat the tank, then maintains a 78 degree temp, at least this is the experience I have with my two. I have them in 2.5 gallons, so it may take them a little longer to heat the 3 gallon to their preset temp/

Ooh I would like to see pictures of him! Personally, I think the Marina c10 10 watt heater at Petsmart is perfect. It is pretty cheap, about 17 or 18 bucks and is non-adjustable. It says it only heats up to 2.65 gallons but I'm sure it would work. However, you could get the larger size, the marina c17 which heats up to 4.5 gallons. They all have a LED light that indicates whether it is on or not. I find it helpful and reassuring that it is working.

Your welcome! I had problems with that Aqueon heater myself; it overheated 0-0

Ive only ever used Via aqua heaters and i loved them
I used a 50 watt in my 2.5 gallon tank and it maintained the set temp wonderfully because it is adjustable and has a thermostat.

another heater i will have to look into! I recently tweaked the heater and so far it is slowly rising to 78 degrees, but i will keep a close eye on it :)

I will update some pics of Casper tomorrow! Thanks for your opinions! labloverl, that was so sweet!
