Sometimes when they get into a bigger tank with heat & get settled in their colors will darken or change. My males both darkened considerably when moved into their individual 10g tanks. The one male has gone from a pale pink, purple, green, blue to a darker pink, purplish, green, blue, with more burgundy on his head. He looks so different than before. My girls darkened as well once they got settled in to the bigger tank.
