Hurricane Sandy is going to hit MD tomorrow night but won't be really bad until Monday or Tuesday. I just want to make sure I have everything I might need just in case we lose power.
Towels and hand warmers
Cups that each fish came in, and an extra one for Mr. Snail
Emergency 1 gallon tank
Extra StressCoat and plant fertilizer
I plan on filling up some jugs of water tonight. We do have a generator but I don't know if it's hooked up to the well or not and it only puts electricity to certain parts of the house. It does send electricity to the kitchen (at least the fridge) so we will see. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
I'm just really worried about my plants. They are low light plants, but if we have no power. I'm also worried that the generator won't run the electrical outlets so my fish won't have heaters, or filters. I have 1 fully established filter that I plan on keeping in the tank and running. If the power goes out at least it will be wet. My other cycling filter I will be doing the same with.
Dumbledore survived almost a week with no power earlier in the year and I know he's a trooper. Frederick, I'm not so sure about. At least he's in the cycled 3 gallon that can go a little while with no WCs.
I hope everyone that is expecting the storm manages well. Stay safe everyone.
